What usually causes it

  • Router MAC filtering enabled

What you need

How to fix it yourself

  1. Verify you're connecting to the 2.4GHz network — most smart thermostats don't support 5GHz
  2. Double-check the Wi-Fi password — re-enter it carefully on the thermostat
  3. Restart the thermostat by removing it from the wall plate for 30 seconds
  4. Restart your router by unplugging for 30 seconds
  5. Move the router closer or add a Wi-Fi extender if signal is weak
  6. Check if your router has MAC address filtering and add the thermostat's MAC address
