How to fix it yourself
- Replace the batteries in your garage door remote
- Check that the garage door opener is plugged in and the outlet has power
- Look at the safety sensors at the bottom of the door — make sure the LED lights are solid (not blinking)
- Clean the sensor eyes with a dry cloth and realign if needed
- Use the wall button to test — if it works but remote doesn't, the remote needs a new battery or re-pairing
- In an emergency, use the red manual release cord to open the door by hand
