How to fix it yourself

  1. Unplug the dryer and pull it away from the wall
  2. Disconnect the vent hose from the back of the dryer
  3. Insert the vent brush into the hose and the wall duct — push through to the exterior
  4. Use the brush rods to reach the full length of the vent
  5. Vacuum all loose lint from both ends
  6. Reconnect the hose, push dryer back, and test — clothes should dry noticeably faster
